I am
relieved to read that T Bailey will be moving its manufacturing to March Point.
As a resident of downtown Anacortes, T Bailey made my "quality of
life" miserable. Since last September, we've heard extremely loud banging
noises daily and from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., all night long (even on Thanksgiving).
I've
been one of the residents who have made many complaints to City Hall, and I
must add that city Building Inspector Don Measmer was extremely helpful and
sympathetic.
T Bailey
only implemented the "good neighbor policy" after complaints were too
numerous to ignore. I'd bet that Mr. Tanaka and Mr. Lehmann have taken up
residences nowhere near the noise of their facilities for their "quality
of life."
I am
hopeful that they can build a better building to work in, that job
opportunities are abundant and that our beautiful herons are not at risk, but I
don't think that a quiet seaside community is the best location for their type
of business.
I will
take a deep breath but I will also keep a watchful eye and ear on their
progress.
